Preparing for Snowpocalypse 2017 in Portland OR

We are expected to get snow and freezing rain here in the Portland Metro area starting tomorrow after noon, and if you know Portland, that means that the town will literally shut down, one good thing is that it is going to happen over the weekend so hopefully there will not be 1,000 of commuters on the roads trying to get home.

Last time this happen which was just about 3 weeks ago cars were sliding into each other like bumper cars, people were abandoning their vehicles, school buses were getting kids home after 7 pm. and it was taking drivers 3-6 hrs. to drive 30 miles, it was complete chaos.

This is a picture that was taken of a busy Interstate here in Portland - I84,  and as you can see people were just pulling over to the side of the interstate and walking away, I am not sure why any one would do that but they did.

So, I am keeping my fingers crossed since I do have to go into work tomorrow, that we do not have another round of this icy messy stuff to start off the new Year.

How is the weather in your neck of the woods, are you dealing with freezing temps, snow, ice, freezing rain, winds, etc.....

Until next time.
Paula
